Yousef’s Circus Recordings is primed to release the star-studded fourth installment of its Selector series on May 30, but you can get the first play of Hot Creations favorite Richy Ahmed’s contribution to the package today exclusively on DJ Times.
Selector 04 features four new club-ready originals from major players across the tech-house spectrum, each of which brings a fresh twist on their signature sounds. Label owner Yousef is joined on the compilation by stellar productions from Leeds stalwart Darius Syrossian and Ibiza regular Patrick Topping, but it’s Richy Ahmed who brings the heat with the package’s closing track.
Ahmed brings in a wealth of different styles on the aptly titled “Layer Cake,” with kaleidoscopic analog synths joined by chunky basslines and a rushing assault of 808s. Ready for the White Isle and beyond, it’s a steaming corker that’s ready to turn out clubs everywhere this summer.
