Electronic music events have certainly changed significantly from their earliest incarnations, and Michael Tullberg is chronicling their evolution in Dancefloor Thunderstorm: Land Of The Free, Home Of The Rave.

Described as a “visual and written account of the glory years of the American underground electronic dance music scene,” the book focuses on Southern California’s iconic raves of the mid to late 1990s and early 2000s. The photography-heavy book covers the time period of 1996-2002 and showcases the early origins of now massive events like Electric Daisy Carnival and Nocturnal Wonderland as well as now-legendary artists like Paul Oakenfold, Moby, Fatboy Slim, and more.

The book is due out on October 8, and will be available for purchase at DancefloorThunderstorm.com.
