DetroitMovement, one of America’s best-curated electronic music festivals, will fill the Motor City’s Hart Plaza this May 26-28 with more than 30,000 fans each day to see nearly 100 acts. Produced by Paxahau, Movement will present five daily stages.

As usual, this year’s lineup is a stout one, as it includes Detroit pioneers (Kevin Saunderson and Carl Craig), hip-hop legends (Too Short, DJ Premier and Wu-Tang Clan), modern hitmakers (Diplo), techno faves (Luciano, Dubfire and Modeselektor), global mainstays (Laurent Garnier and Ellen Allien), plus rising stars (Rezz, Mija and Charlotte de Witte).

And, as if on cue, the Movement fest will kick off America’s Best DJ – the annual fan vote and tour run by DJ Times magazine. Each year, DJ Times nominates 100 DJs for the title and fans can vote online or at a series of summer events that will run through Labor Day. Come by DJ Times’ Movement booth to see this year’s nominees, vote for your favorites, and win prizes. Stay tuned next week for more info on America’s Best DJ and details for online voting, which will kick off on June 1.
