Moog Music Inc. is going back to the future with its plans to recommence the manufacturing of three of its most sought-after large format modular synthesizers.

Moog will produce limited runs of its classic System 55, System 35, and Model 15 synthesizers, which were originally created and manufactured in 1973. The new units will be created using the original 1970s schematics, all meticulously handcrafted truly recreate the original synthesizers. The modules are built from the original circuit films by hand-stuffing and hand-soldering components to circuit boards. The front panels are photo-etched aluminum and aim to maintain the classic and durable look of vintage Moog modules.

There will be extremely limited quantities of the synths made: 55 System 55s, 35 System 35s, and 150 Model 15s. Additionally, Moog will produce the Sequencer Complement B Expansion Cabinet dual 960 Sequential Controller as an accompaniment to the System 35 and System 55 as well as an optional 5-Octave duo phonic keyboard.
