Just ahead of his headlining North America tour, Ekali has finally unveiled his long-awaited debut album, A World Away to the world and it’s a flawless beauty!
After giving the electronic dance music community a taste of what’s to come with the release of a handful of singles included his highly coveted collaboration with Illenium, “Hard To Say Goodbye,” the Canadian talent’s 12-track offering has arrived in all its glory.
Reuniting with Elohim for “Fairy Tale,” connecting with Nitti Gritti for “Power” in addition to masterfully crafted ethereal pieces of production, A World Away comes together as an impeccable musical journey.
Ekali’s own words, “The core of the album centers around the idea of a moment of warmth when all else is desolate. I’m trying to capture the emotion of something special but only what’s left when it’s fleeting and/or leaving. A warm moment in a cold place and the subsequent cycle of healing.”
