Have you heard the news? While Movement Detroit may not be returning to its usual legendary riverfront destination in Hart Plaza this year, there will be a virtual edition of the festival this Memorial Day weekend.
With the current COVID-19 pandemic shutting down the festival circuit this summer, Movement has partnered with Beatport for this three-day live stream event that will be hosted on Beatport and Paxahau’s Twitch channels. It will also be broadcasted on Movement’s website, Facebook and YouTube channels.
The lineup and programming for Movement At Home is scheduled to be revealed next week and will feature Movement 2020 artists and surprise guests.
Contributions made during the Movement At Home weekend will benefit MusiCares’ COVID-19 Relief Fund, assisting people in the music community affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.
