Going forward, in each DJ Times Podcast, we’ll be bringing you the best from the world of DJ culture – all the talent from the working DJs and remixer/producers to other unique people who bring us our musical experiences.
Presented by Technics, our first episode features one of EDM’s biggest acts – Above & Beyond. We caught up with Jono Grant and Tony McGuinness at Sirius XM in Manhattan earlier this year, as the pair was in town promoting Above & Beyond’s latest album, Common Ground. We think you’ll enjoy the conversation – from tech-talk to artistic process, from favorite venues to advice for up-and-coming DJs. Always open and engaging, the Above & Beyond fellows were a joy to sit down with.
Also of note… in late 2018, DJ Times magazine will be celebrating its 30 anniversary and, accordingly, I myself will be clocking in 28 years with the magazine and DJ Expo, our annual exhibition and conference. As you might imagine, I have a few stories to tell from all these years of interviewing DJs, clubbing or experiencing DJ culture around the globe. With each podcast episode, we’ll connect with all the top talents of all the DJ-related genres – house, hip-hop, techno, trance, trap, dubstep, bass and more.
We’ll give you the stories from the studio and DJ booths for the aspiring jocks out there, but also the broader stories for the general fans. We believe that the DJ Times Podcast will be the place that you seek on a regular basis for info on your favorite DJ talents.
