New York — We spent a weekend under the stars in Denver, CO, but the America’s Best DJ Summer Tour Presented By Pioneer DJ & DJ Times is back home in the city that never sleeps.
This past weekend, we headed to the Mile-High City to party in the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre for Global Dance Festival 2015. The three-fest boasted over 50 artists, who performed on three different stages across the legendary venue. Six #ABDJ2015 nominees—Kaskade, Flosstradamus, Seven Lions, 3lau, Green Velvet, and Manufactured Superstars—were amongst this year’s lineup, joining the likes of Tiësto, Above & Beyond, and more at the packed festival.
As always, we held down a dedicated ABDJ booth to collect votes and give fans a chance to win a variety of amazing prizes (including a trip for two to San Diego for our official closing party on October 11 at Omnia San Diego and more gear from Pioneer DJ).
This weekend, we’re two-timing it in New York City with a pair of events tonight.
First, we’re off to Marquee New York for a night with our favorite married nominee pair: Sleepy & Boo. The duo is back from a trip to Ibiza and is armed with new productions—taken from recent EPs on Nervous and De-Noize Records—to rip into the Chelsea nightclub as part of their signature Sleepy & Boo + Friends event. If being nominated for #ABDJ2015 wasn’t enough reason to party, this night will serve as the official birthday celebration for Sleepy! Grab tickets here.
Just a few blocks down the road, we’ll also be on-site at Cielo to go on a trip down memory lane with Gabriel & Dresden. The pair will throw down a six-hour set consisting only of their favorite trance classics, which is sure to take attendees on a retrospective journey through the nominees’ artistic history.
