The wait is finally over! Swedish House Mafia has made their triumphant return with their new single, “It Gets Better” which serves as the lead single off their forthcoming debut album. I guess you could say this was all well worth the wait, huh?
After reuniting back in 2018 to delivering a headlining set during Ultra Music Festival, the trio consisting of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello has just unveiled their first bit of new music after nine long years.
Not knowing what to expect from these three considering how much the electronic dance music scene has changed since their farewell tour and the release of their Grammy-nominated classic, “Don’t You Worry Child” with John Martin, “It Gets Better” is a brooding club-ready weapon which is quite the significant departure from their anthemic festival favorites. It is clear, the new chapter of Swedish House Mafia has just begun.
Considering they’ve got their debut album on the way, avid electronic dance music fans can expect it to have a little bit of everything so don’t be surprised if the tracklist includes a couple nostalgia-drive progressive house anthems. Only time will tell!
