All good things must come to an end with that saying held true once again with the news of Diplo’s show Diplo & Friends on BBC Radio 1 will be leaving the station in September.
Being a Saturday night staple for a decade dominating the airwaves 11:00pm-1:00am in addition to giving the latest and greatest from the world of electronic dance music an opportunity to deliver guest mixes showcasing their sounds to the world. Diplo & Friends was a true “rite of passage” for DJs and producers often playing a major role in shaping some of their careers.
Some of the most iconic mixes included Avicii, DJ Snake, Zeds Dead, Kygo, Tchami and RL Grime.
This news came alongside BBC Radio 1 revealing Annie Mac would also be leaving the station after 17 years. Checkout the official announcement below.
