Atlantic City, N.J. — On Aug. 14, the final night of sponsored DJ Expo events, DJ Times will present a special B2B afterparty set with DJ Skribble and DJ Mell Starr on the decks at the Eden Lounge in Harrah’s Resort.
DJ Expo, produced by DJ Times magazine, will run Aug. 12-15 at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City and it will feature: an exhibit hall full of the latest DJ-related gear; 30 seminars, panels and keynotes (including sessions from legendary spinners Z-Trip and Nicky Siano); and evening events like the “Entertainer of the Year” competition.
The closing afterparty, billed “DJ Skribble & Friends,” has become a DJ Expo tradition in recent years and this year’s event — sponsored by RCF — will feature some back-to-back action with the multi-talented Skribble and turntable wiz Mell Starr. The NYC-based Starr, who became known for his participation in the “Master of the Mix” TV show, also has worked some of the industry’s biggest events — from concert-tour afterparties to presidential-inauguration celebrations. Expect a wild, open-format set, sprinkled with plenty of old-school hip-hop nuggets.
The party begins at 10 pm and will feature special guest Velvet Code (AMG/Sony Music Entertainment), who will spin a DJ set of electro-pop and synth-driven dance music.
