Detroit – The Movement festival, one of America’s finest electronic-music events, will take over the Motor City this Memorial Day weekend. Presented by Paxahau, the festival will run Saturday, May 25, thru Monday night, May 27, at Hart Plaza and will feature some of the globe’s top electronic talents. Headliners include: Disclosure, Orbital, Loco Dice, Danny Brown, Richie Hawtin, Hot Since 82 and Stephan Bodzin.
As always, DJ Times will be at Movement with its annual America’s Best DJ promotion. At its dedicated ABDJ booth, fans can vote for their favorite U.S.-based DJs with a chance to win prizes from DJ Times and DJ Expo. Of the 100 ABDJ nominees, a dozen will perform at Movement. They include: (May 25) Josh Wink; Soul Clap; Stacey Pullen and Carl Craig; (May 26) Dubfire (with Nicole Moudaber and Paco Osuna); DJ Godfather; and Kevin Saunderson (with The Saunderson Brothers); (May 27) MK; Green Velvet and Claude VonStroke (as Get Real); GRiZ; and J. Phlip.

Movement Official Launch Party – DJ Harvey All Night Long
Held at Marble Bar, this event will feature the eclectic legend DJ Harvey on the patio, plus a trio of jocks indoors – Patrice Scott, Michael Geiger and DJ Holographic. If you’ve never seen Harvey, do yourself a favor – his sets are as satisfying as they are unpredictable. Tickets here.
