Native Instruments’ Stems file format has just been opened up even further to developers with the release of its much-anticipated Software Developer Kit.
Available as a free download from Stems-Music.com, the toolkit gives software and hardware developers full access to specifications, the DSP library, code examples, and a command-line version of the company’s Stem Creator software. This release allows Stems to be freely integrated into music production and performance tools as well as media players. Compressor and limiter components are available to guarantee that the four separate parts of the Stem file sound the same as the track’s original stereo master when heard individually or played together.
Grab the kit now at Stems-Music.com and watch some mastering videos on the Stems YouTube channel here.
