RINSED has been a staple of the borough’s underground nightlife scene for five years, and the noted Brooklyn party series is further expanding its presence with the launch of its new imprint The Umbrella.
Despite being known for its unique party themes (ranging from Surveillance to Coke Yacht) and top-notch bookings—from the revival of Kevin Saunderson’s Inner City to the NYC debut of Gorgon City—Rinsed is ready to take it to the next level with the launch of the new label. The Umbrella’s first release G.O.D. Vol. 1 is a free 14-track compilation that includes productions from Len Faki, Krystal Klear, RINSED founder Blacky II, and many more.
The imprint’s first compilation will coincide with a live event this Friday, a trend that will continue with all future releases from the label. Set to take place in a secret Brooklyn warehouse, the party on March 4 party will include sets from Aquarian, Blacky II, Cameron Traxx, Dan Wender, Luka Tacon Mike Simonetti, and a special live performance from Jamie Principle.
