It’s always good for a bit of a makeover every few years, and Steve Angello’s Size Records is entering its 13th year with a brand-new creative relaunch.
Announced via a steamy promo video, the relaunch signals a sleeker visual aesthetic for the label. Tipping its hat to Size’s paint design visuals of the past, the new clip shows a bare woman being drenched in dripping paint to the sounds of buzzing electro beats. Designer Robert Norgren from Forest explained the video, saying “[We] wanted to create something entirely new. Still with the aim to flirt with earlier fragments from the label’s history. The goal was to provoke, experiment and to create visually driven artworks with video as the hero format.”
Taking the label into new territory, the reinvention precedes the release of Angello’s own artist album Wild Youth: Chapter 2 on January 22.
