Manhattan’s club offerings are getting a little larger this weekend with the grand opening of Flash Factory on Saturday, January 23.
The spacious 10,000-square-foot venue will take up residence in Chelsea, offering programming that includes techno, live experimental electronic music, and indie rock. The club comes as the result of a three-year construction period, with the final product serving as a stark contrast to the décor of most nightlife offerings. Eschewing LED panels and screens entirely, the design of the club instead incorporates the salvaged architectural remains of churches from around New York City and organic architectural elements for its unique look.
The festivities kick off this weekend with a performance from the Bronx’s own The Martinez Brothers. For tickets and more information, go to FlashFactoryNY.com.
