For years, the Canadian duo has taken crowds around the world on techno odysseys via their sweeping DJ sets at packed clubs and huge festivals. Now, the pair has set their focus on their production game with last week’s release of their debut LP Welcome To The Present on Kompakt. Bringing together field recordings, esoteric vibes, and an intangible human soul, Anstascia and Vivie-Ann have hit it home with an engrossing experience that goes far beyond their club-ready EPs of the past.
We caught up with the duo in the midst of their hectic schedule at Amsterdam Dance Event 2015 to chat about the album and and how making it was “kind of like having a baby.”
