10. Bring a large vehicle
or at least a huge suitcase! “Not only will you be probably going home with new gear or packages, but taxis can be expensive,” Adam Weitz says. “Bringing your own vehicle is a gift to your crew and other people, but it’s primarily for packing in new gear—and a large one will help you carry all that stuff home.”
Like most other mobile DJs, Jones describes himself as a gear guy. “I like going through the exhibits and checking out all the new gear,” he says. “Photo-booth additions to our business seem to be all the rage at the moment. I have a couple, and the upsell on them is awesome additional cash flow.”
And additional cash flow, after all, is what you can take to the bank.
