IK Multimedia has released two new sound libraries for SampleTank 3 on Mac and PC.
Made exclusively for the sound and groove workstation, the new packs—Future Synths and Hugh Padgham Drums—give users a comprehensive collection of sounds and samples.
The Future Synths sound library is “inspired by the pumping sounds of Hardwell. Tiesto Afrojack, and other top-tier artists” and comes with 150 instruments that can be used to make everything from EDM anthems to underground techno bangers. The pack includes 40 leads, 40 synth basses, 25 dreamy atmospheric pads, 30 modern plucks, and 15 contemporary FX.
The Hugh Padgham Drums pad further expands SampleTank 3’s rhythm section with over 3,600 drum kit samples and 240 MIDI patterns recorded by Phil Collins and Human League producer-engineer Hugh Padgham. Recorded in a live-sounding stone room with multiple microphones, the pack allows musicians to adjust the milk of each instrument to include both room-miked and close-miked samples. The library also lets users play with Padgham’s signature sound via 20 drum kit instruments.
