Output’s weekly Input party is back for a very special event tonight, with Pearson Sound and Soul Clap descending upon the Brooklyn nightclub for a jam-packed Thursday evening.
Pearson Sound will hold down the fort in the main room, delivering an open-to-close set kicking off when doors open at 10 PM. The London-based DJ/producer is fresh off the release of his self-titled album, which brings together a smorgasbord of eerie soundscapes, confounding FX, and unexpectedly danceable grooves. The ever-eccentric artist is sure to bring some of his off-kilter flair to the performance tonight, so get there early and be prepared to dance until late.
Over in the Panther Room, Boston-based DJ/producer duo Soul Clap will celebrate the release of their new Tempo Dreams Vol.3 compilation on Bastard Jazz. The pair is also gearing up for the May 11 release of “In Da Karr,” a collaborative EP featuring work from funk legends George Clinton and Sly Stone. It’s sure to be a funked-out dance party exploring the weirder sides of soul, house, and just about everything in between. Additionally, the boys are keeping it all in the family for the release party, bringing fellow Crew Love artist Tanner Ross onboard to play.
