Frankfurt, Germany will play host to a series of a product announcements and showcases over the next four days with the kickoff of this year’s Musikmesse and Prolight + Sound shows.
Musikmesse—the international trade show for music instruments, sheet music, music production, and music business connections—and Prolight + Sound—the international show of technologies and services for events, installation, and production—will run through April 18, offering a broad spectrum of events and two public days to “engender enthusiasm for active music making.” A total of 2,257 exhibitors from 57 countries will show their products and services at this year’s edition, up from 2,216 exhibitors in 2014.
Musikmesse 2015 will once again be the home to a smattering of product debuts, reveals, and teases, including new musical instruments, production tools, and more. This year’s event will also include an expanded entertainment program, with more stages, concerts, autograph sessions, and workshops, with Armin van Buuren among the confirmed guests.
This year’s Prolight + Sound has been expanded to reflect the positive trend in the industry sector as well as celebrate the event’s 20th anniversary. Exhibitors include key players from the fields of lighting, sound and stage technology, audio-visual media technology, and systems integration.
