Kölsch returns to German imprint Kompakt with his new two-tracker “Der Die Das / Two Birds,” which is out now.
Both tracks are taken from his 1983 album—due out on June 8—and represent Kölsch’s first original productions since 2014’s “Cassiopeia/Papgeno.” The Danish DJ/producer brings uplifting synths and euphoric melodies to the foreground on “Der Die Das,” which gives fans a shiny techno cut primed for spring. He heads into a bit darker territory on the flip-side, with “Two Birds” featuring extended builds, mysterious vibes, and a stunning keys.
