American DJ is set to unveil 14 new products at this week’s NAMM Show—running from January 22-25 in Anaheim, California—and the brand has released the details of three debuts that attendees will see.
The COB Cannon Wash is an ultra-bright Par Can wash effect utilizing 150W quad-color (RGBA) COB LEDs. The COB LEDs allow for an improved color mixing palette and warm-white stage lighting, and the unit’s wide 80-degree beam angle offers far-reaching washes while a 40 and 50-degree angle can be achieved using included lenses. The unit also doubles as a powerful uplighting solution with its dual yoke, allowing it to stand on the floor to wash walls and ceilings. The COB Cannon Wash can be pixel-mapped, and the fixture is controllable via an eight-channel DMX mode as well as a Stand Alone mode and Sound Active mode.
The Mega Par Profile Plus builds on ADJ’s previous multi-LED par fixtures like the Mega Par Profile by offering an added UV LED for unique 2-in-1 effects. The compact, low-profile par is equipped with a lie-flat design and 30-degree beam angle, having been designed by ADJ specifically for uplighting, truss warming, and stage lighting. The unit’s RGB color effects can also be infused with a 3-Watt UV black light for further customization for events.
The DMX Operator 384 is a compact, powerful 19-inch rack mount DMX controller that is MIDI compatible. The new controller gives users control of up to 12 fixtures, each with up to 32 DMX channels, as well as access to 240 programmable scene across 30 banks and 12 programmable chases. An assignable joystick is also included, giving users greater flexibility to control the positioning of scanners and moving heads more conveniently. The controller also features a fog machine output socket and trigger button, allowing mobile DJs, bands, and small venue operators to trigger an ADJ VF1300 fog machine whenever necessary.
