Yum: Promo Only Party @ DJ Expo

By  |

Kelly Rowland will not pop from a birthday cake...we promise.

It was 20 years ago today, or 20 years ago this summer, anyway, when the International DJ Expo made its first appearance. Since then, a phalanx of hit-makers—from C+C Music Factory to Lady Gaga—have graced the stage, offering Expo attendees a peak into what they’d be playing at future gigs.

This year, the 2010 Promo Only Party @ DJ Expo (8 pm, August 17 at House of Blues, 801 Boardwalk, Atlantic City), will highlight blasts from the past as well as current hit-makers.

Drum-machine roll, please:

Come and see Mike Posner perform his current hit, “Cooler Than Me”; see Kelly Rowland, the voice behind David Guetta’s “When Love Takes Over”, perform “Commander”; Shaggy will be in the house, performing “It Wasn’t Me,” “Boombastic,” “Angel,”

“In the Summertime” & “Oh Carolina”; Salt-N-Pepa will sing “Push It,” “Shoop,” “Let’s Talk About Sex” & “Whatta Man”; the Queen of Freestyle, Judy Torres,  will be on stage, belting out “Come Into My Arms,” “Please Stay Tonight,” “Love Story” & “Faithfully.”

    And there’s more.

Alexis Jordan will sing her No. 1 dance hit, “Happiness”; Auburn will belt out “La La La” feat. Iyaz; Jessica Jarrell (“Almost Love (24/7)” & “Overboard” with Justin Bieber); Jump Smokers (“My Flow So Tight” & “Don’t Be a Douchebag”); Kaci Battaglia

(“Crazy Possessive,” “I Think I Love You” & “Paradise”); Tiffany Dunn (“Knock You Down”); Tino Coury (“Diary” from the game, “Tap Tap Revenge 3”).

The party will also feature America’s Top VJs: DJ 2nd Nature, DVDJ Unique and Kris P.
