Ticketfly Takes Reins for Burning Man 2014 Ticket Sales

By  |

After years of website crashes and lottery systems, the Burning Man Organization has enlisted Ticketfly to handle ticketing sales for the 2014 edition of its annual art festival taking place August 25-September 1. The move is a surprising development for the organization, which has been notorious in its opposition to commercial influence and branding in the past. The official Burning Man newsletter explains the reason behind choosing the San Francisco-based ticketing company, citing “the robustness of [Ticketfly’s] system and their commitment to superior customer service.”

Each year, the popular event sets up a temporary community in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada to offer an open space for artists to express themselves. Additionally, the festival has played host to a slew of dance artists in the past, including performances from Diplo and Paul Oakenfold at Burning Man 2013.

Burning Man pre-sale registration begins on January 16. For more information on ticketing pre-sales and general sales, go to BurningMan.com
