T.Williams Launches US Tour at NYC’s Output

T. Williams is bringing UK garage to the clubs of North America on his fall tour that kicked off at Brooklyn’s Output Club this week.

T.Williams is best known for his work with Disclosure, including his opening slot on their first US tour and his remix of their single “Latch.” With influences steeped in a variety of styles, including grime, house, hip hop, and garage, the London-based DJ/producer has a genre-defying ear that reflects in his performances and studio work.

To coincide with the release of his Shake That EP earlier this summer, Williams kicked off his latest North American tour with a performance at Output for a bass-rattling early weekend kickoff. Playing alongside Jimmy Edgar and Midland, the Brit played to a modest crowd that was the perfect audience for the extended grooves and crackling energy being thrown down. With a down-and-dirty approach of slinky garage-house basslines and intangible swagger, Williams’ set complemented the underground warehouse aesthetic of the Williamsburg club.

With nine more stops left on the tour, including San Francisco’s DNA Lounge, Chicago’s Primary, and Los Angeles’ Lure, now is the time for US house fans to catch the genre’s rising star. The full list of tour dates and T. Williams’ performance from UK fest Bestival earlier this month are below.
