Sustain-Release Festival Heads to Upstate New York in September
Nestled in Upstate New York’s Catskills Mountains, Wurtsboro’s Camp Lakota has been named the site of Sustain-Release, an adventurous new music festival promising avant-garde dance music taking place September 12-14.
The inaugural edition of the festival offers shared cabins, heated pool, a lake, bonfire, and two stages full of forward thinking music. Among the initial round of artists are Rrose, Joey Anderson, and Xosar. Undergound Quality label head Jus-ed will also play a special pool party for the festival. The final lineup is slated to include over 20 artists who will play to the festival’s intimate capacity of 500 attendees.
The festival is the result of a collaboration between Brooklyn’s Mutual Dreaming creator Aurora Halal and music writer/promoter Zara Wladawsky and is inspired by their formative experiences at UK camping festivals.
The first round of confirmed artists is below. Tickets are on-sale now. For more information, go to Sustain-Release.com.
