Steve Aoki Charitable Fund Raises $65,000 from Aokify America Tour

Steve Aoki and his fans partied with a purpose on last year’s Aokify America tour, as the Steve Aoki Charitable Fund has announced a donation of over $65,000 to four health and research organizations.

Aoki gave a dollar from every ticket sold to the Brain Preservation Foundation, University of Rochester Medical Center’s Memory Care Program, American Brain Foundation, and Infusio. Aoki’s Facebook fans cast their vote for which charity to receive the largest endowment, with the Brain Preservation Foundation ultimately being chosen.

The America’s Best DJ 2013 nominee spoke of his charitable activities, saying:

“My philanthropy work is just as important to me as my music. I’ve been involved with many charities and non-profit organizations throughout my career, and I always take the time to give back and volunteer when I can. These four organizations represent the best in what they do, and I’m stoked to be working with them.”

Aoki is no stranger to philanthropy work, having raised over $10,000 of fan contributions for Typhoon Haiyan victims through Birthday for Relief partnership with Music for Relief last year in addition to a $36,000 personal donation.
