Space Ibiza to Debut NYC Location in September

New York City’s club options are further expanding, as Space Ibiza will open its first North American location in Hell’s Kitchen next month.

Set to debut on Friday, September 12, Space Ibiza’s New York incarnation will lay in the heart of the West Side on 50th Street and 12th Avenue. The 20,000-square-foot club was designed by ICRAVE and aims to marry the carefree sensuality of its Spanish origins with the urban, artistic roots of New York City.

The club will feature multiple rooms, each with a different vibe. In addition to the multi-room main room (featuring floor to ceiling windows, several dance platforms, and an over-sized, custom DJ booth), Space Ibiza New York will also feature the container lounge. The lounge leads to the rooftop and pays homage to the history of Hell’s Kitchen with a secondary DJ booth built into raw shipyard containers. The rooftop terrace will offer panoramic views of the West Side skyline.

Space Ibiza New York will also feature cutting-edge technology in sound, lighting, and effects. NYC-based Anthem has provided an oversized disco ball capable of spinning at unprecedented speeds, as well as four custom fabricated intelligent lighting UFO spheres and a super-high RPM motorized truss system. The club will be equipped with a custom-crafted Funktion One sound system.

Co-owners and managing partners Antonio Piacquadio and Carlo Seneca expressed their enthusiasm for the opening, saying:

“We are excited to finally be expanding the Space Ibiza brand in New York City. The electric crowds that New York is known for will be a perfect fit for the high-energy experience we offer. We are excited to bring a little bit of Ibiza to the city.”
