Roger Sanchez Explores Roots with Video for “Troubleman”

New York – Ahead of the fall release of his upcoming album Roots, Roger Sanchez has dropped a video for his single “Troubleman.” Released on Stealth Records, “Troubleman” is a bouncy, funk-driven house romp with bluesy vocals from GTO, whom Sanchez previously worked with on his track “Turn On The Music.” The track also features Chicago and deep house influences, as well as tribal elements.

The video, directed by Sherif Higazy, merges old school allusions with modern production techniques. Early 1900s newsboys and stock footage of major historical events are spliced and diced into kaleidoscopic and mirrored visual effects.
