If you’ve ever dreamed of having your music placed on one of Quentin Tarantino’s legendary film soundtracks, you’re in luck: his music supervisor Mary Ramos is giving tips on getting your music featured in media.

The video—a part of an interview series from Dotted Music focusing on music business professionals—shows Ramos detailing her work in the sync licensing industry, sharing specifics about how she finds music to place in Tarantino’s movies. Of course, most of the information she shares is helpful to getting music synced anywhere across television, film, and advertisements. Some highlights include: having a “swagger” song in your arsenal (2:51), keeping instrumental versions of your tracks (3:54), and how a bootleg remix can be officially licensed (4:45).
