Pioneer DJ’s flagship setup is getting a massive upgrade with the announcement of the CDJ-2000NXS2 and DJM900-NXS2.

The iconic CDJ has a received a slew of new features in its 2000NXS2 incarnation, which is now equipped with a 96 kHz/24-bit sound card and high-quality FLAC/Apple Lossless Audio file support. The unit now features a high-resolution touch screen, QWERTY keyboard, and track filter search, allowing for more intuitive browsing. Additionally, the display also packs in multicolored waveforms, more detailed rekordbox information, and instant access to more features. The player’s Hot Cue banks have doubled, bringing the total to two banks and eight cues (with connection to the DDJ-SP1 controlled adding even more).

The new DJM-900NXS2 mixer boasts Pioneer DJ’s first-ever 64-bit processor, giving the audio a warmer, more detailed sound. The unit’s controls are now more responsive, featuring a new gain structure, improved EQ, and fader curves. Users can now combine both Beat FX and external FX thanks to an independent Send/Return system, and the Sound Colour FX section allows for more nuanced manipulation via a parameter knob. On the routing side, the DJM-900NXS is equipped with four phono inputs, DVS support, and two USB ports.
