Panels Announced for Mountain Oasis Music Summit

The inaugural Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit takes place in Asheville, North Carolina next month, and the schedule of panels has been released. The discussions will kick off Saturday, October 26th at the Diane Wortham Theatre. The first panel is the Inventors’ Roundtable, which will feature a discussion of the industry’s top minds discussing their past and current projects and what the future holds in the rapidly changing electronic music industry. Panelists include Matthew Sherwood (of Make Noise and Sherwood’s Music), Paul Vo (inventor of the Moog Guitar and Vo-96 acoustic synthesizer), Richard Devine (electronic musician and sound designer), Tony Rolando (founder of Make Noise) and August Worley (inventor of the Pyradym).

Later that afternoon, Geary Yelton will sit down with artist Gary Numan for Artist Spotlight: An Interview with Gary Numan. The discussion will cover Numan’s career, influences, and future plans.

Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit will take place October 25th-27th in Asheville, NC. In addition to the panels, the three-day festival includes a headlining performance from Nine Inch Nails and America’s Best DJ 2013 nominees Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, and Claude VonStroke.
