Native Instruments Updates iMASCHINE iOS App
Native Instruments has released an update to its popular iMASCHINE iOS app, streamlining its workflow and adding a slew of fan-requested features. The app lets iOS device users to create music sketches using a wide selection of drums, synths, one-shots, and the built-in audio recorder, and is designed for on-the-go beatmaking. The new update overhauls the user interface for iPhone, iPad, and iPad Mini, with iPad optimization implemented to allow two-handed operation. As such, workflow has been streamlined by placing editing and performing functions on the same window as the app’s 16 drum pads, two-octave keyboard, and audio recorder.
The update includes the Quantum Collection, a new expansion to the library featuring a selection of sounds from the recently released MASCHINE 2 Library. iTunes sampling has also been implemented, allowing users to capture samples from the music on their iOS devices. XY performance controls for effects, a swipe redo/undo function, and a metronome on/off switch round out the usability improvements in the update.
The update is available to current iMASCHINE users for free, and the app is available in the App Store for new users. For more information, go to Native-Instruments.com/imaschine.
