Moogfest Adds Nile Rodgers, Janelle Monae, & More to Daytime Lineup
Asheville’s Moogfest will debut its expanded five-day festival on April 23, and organizers have announced further additions to both the daytime and nighttime programming.
The daytime program for the festival has been revealed, and includes a series of panels and workshops from an eclectic mix of artists, thinkers, and technology innovators. Nighttime headliner Nile Rodgers will host his own presentation for the conference, during which he will reveal intimate stories about the creation of his biggest hits. Other panels include talks with artist Janelle Monae, Futurama creator David X. Cohen, and the pioneers of electronic music instruments. Zeds Dead, El-P, and Q-Tip join the diverse nighttime music lineup, and the full list and lineups of the festival’s music showcases have been revealed. DFA, Mad Decent, and Warp are among the labels curating events alongside showcases from other music festivals and industry heavyweights. Full music programming information is available here.
