The M Machine Embark on Metropolis North American Tour

By  |

OWSLA’s The M Machine are wrapping up their Metropolis EP trilogy with a North American tour boasting a brand-new live visual production. The 10-date tour sees the San Francisco trio bringing their live show—and a few DJ sets—across the country, and includes stops at Avalon in Los Angeles and Slake in New York before wrapping up on March 5 at Portland’s Whiskey Bar.

In addition to the live show, The M Machine is debuting a new, custom-made visual experience on the tour. Explained by group member Andy in a post on OWSLA’s Nest HQ, the visual sequencer is the result of the band’s efforts to create a new way to present a “more immersive and cinematic live experience” for fans. Using a real-time 3D composition software called TouchDesigner, the group can control the video on their signature “M” display in three dimensions live. Watch a video demonstration of the video production on the tour above.
