Little Boots Brings ‘Working Girl’ Tour to NYC

Fresh of the release of her new LP Working Girl, British synthpop maven Little Boots is setting up office at the Bowery Ballroom on July 23 for a night in New York City.

Released last week via On Repeat Records/Dim Mak, Working Girl sees Little Boots—real name Victoria Hesketh—donning a cheeky corporate CEO persona for a 13-track journey of lush synths and unforgettable hooks. Led by the breezy, Lumidee-meets-LCD Soundsystem summer jam “Better In the Morning,” the new LP shows off a slew of new productions as well as material first previewed on last fall’s Business Pleasure EP. Ranging from the moody pop stylings of the title track to the electro-rock swing of “Get Things Done” and pulsing house beats of “No Pressure,” the record is an intricate journey through a variety of sounds and faces.

To celebrate the record’s release Little Boots has hit the road for a North American tour. Having launched the tour at The Echo in Los Angeles last week, Hesketh is prepping for a big show at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom this Thursday ahead of the tour’s conclusion on July 25. Armed with her synths, band, and best power suit, the Working Girl is ready to turn the room out with a mix of new songs and her evergreen previous material.
