Las Vegas – As always, LDI ’13 expects to see several lighting-products debuts that will to impact the club and mobile-DJ markets. Running through Sunday at the Las Vegas Convention Center, America’s top trade show for entertainment lighting will include exhibits, seminars and tours of Vegas-area venues. Here’s a quick first look at some new products:

From Los Angeles-based ADJ Products, we’ll see 30 new lighting items. They include:

Inno Spot Pro: This compact intelligent moving head unit with motorized focus is powered by an 80W LED source. Its hard-edge beam is similar to a traditional discharge lighting fixture with a fraction of the power draw (only 140W), or the hassle of changing out light bulbs (LED rated at 50,000 hours). The Inno Spot Pro features six rotating, replaceable gobos, eight colors plus white, and separate gobo/color wheels.

The Inno Color Beam Z7 will help transform any club, stage or performance into a high impact light show.

3 Sixty 2R: This patent-pending, dual moving head unit delivers continuous 360-degree rotation. The 3 Sixty 2R is powered by the new Philips Platinum 2R, 135W discharge lamp, rated at 6,000 hour lamp life. (It’s a lamp technology that ADJ co-engineered with Philips.) Creative sparks will fly with professional grade features such as: a 4-degree beam angle, 14 colors, 15 gobos, 8-facet prism and a frost filter (for wash effects). Each head’s colors, gobos and movement run independent from each other for a one-of-a-kind light show.

Sunrise, Fla.-based Chauvet Lighting has several new DJ- and club-related debuts as well. Displayed in a 20-by-20 TRUSST-built booth, they include:

COLORstrip Mini FX: This compact, linear wash light includes built-in laser effects, which are variance-free, making the fixture ready to use right out of the box. For added convenience, wireless control of individual colors and program is available using an included IR remote. Users can combine multiple units together for unique runaway effects, or pair it with other COLORstrip fixtures for larger light shows.

EZ MiN Laser FX & EZ MiN Laser RBX: These two battery-powered lasers with remote control capability join the MiN series of ultra-compact lasers. EZ MiN Laser FX projects thousands of red and green laser beams and motion effects, while EZ MiN Laser RBX projects thousands of red and blue laser beams and motion effects. Both lasers include a rechargeable, lithium-ion battery that provides a run time of up to six hours from a single charge.
