John Digweed Added as Burn Residency Mentor

With just days until the kick-off of this year’s Burn Residency DJ boot camp on June 21, John Digweed has been announced as the program’s special headline mentor.

He’ll join other mentors—including Carl Cox, Pete Tong, Philip Straub, Marco Bailey, Miss Soulfly, and Tom Novy—in Ibiza to help nurture and guide 18 up-and-coming DJ contestants, with the top five students being awarded residencies at Café Mambo, Sankeys, and Privilege. The overall winner of the Burn Residency 2014—announced in September—will also receive 100,000 EUR to invest in his/her career.

Throughout the program, the mentors will conduct specially crafted lectures designed to equip the 18 contestants with the skills they need to succeed. Additionally, Akai, Numark, M-Audio, and Native Instruments will provide production masterclasses to the contestants throughout the two-week program.

More information and live updates from the Burn Residency are available at the program’s Facebook app.
