Gesaffelstein Brings Guns, Sex, & Gold for “Hate or Glory” Video

To coincide with the release of his I Heart Techno 2013 mix compilation and debut album Aleph on October 28th, Gesaffelstein has released a video for new track “Hate or Glory.” Full of the same cinematic flair seen in the video for his single “Pursuit” this summer, the new clip ditches the sci-fi aesthetic for a California gang theme. Complete with guns, sex, and a gang member literally turning himself into gold, the not-safe-for-work clip outlines the rise and fall of a gang kingpin.

The track itself is a continuation of the sounds heard from the French producer this year, including his work on rapper Kanye West’s Yeezus album earlier this summer. Ominous rumblings, squeaking crashes, and filthy basslines charge in and out of the techno-inspired track, which is ripe with atmosphere.

Aleph will be released on October 28th and Gesaffelstein’s I Heart Techno 2013 compilation is available now. For more information on Gesaffelstein, go here.
