Oranjestad, Aruba – Set for this weekend—Sept. 6-9—the inaugural Electric Festival will light up the beautiful Caribbean island of Aruba, and DJ Times will serve as a proud media sponsor.

Boasting a mostly EDM-based lineup—legendary rocker Slash is also playing—Electric Festival will include sets from more than 20 global DJs including Chuckie, Nicole Moudaber, Nero, Boris, Mastiksoul and the recently announced Erick Morillo. (Unfortunately, Hardwell recently cancelled his appearance, due to illness.)

The three-day festival will include pool bashes, beach events, boat parties, surfside showcases, plus brunches and dinners, sponsored by the likes of Pacha NYC.

Dirty Dutch: Chuckie will headline Electric Festival.

Electric Festival will also see a presence from Amsterdam Dance Event, which will conduct an “Artists Q&A” on Saturday at the Renaissance Marina Hotel.  Set this October 16-20 in Holland, the 18th annual ADE will bring the dance-music community to Amsterdam for a week’s worth of business, networking and events. Next year at the 2014 version of Electric Festival, a music conference “powered by ADE” will be added to the event, as it will include studio sessions, workshops and exhibitions for DJs, producers, artists and fans.

As we look forward to some fun in the sun, along with three days and nights of great music, DJ Times will offer a full report from Aruba upon our return. Pass the tanning butter!
