Spring is just about here, but the longer days don’t signal that your nights out have to be any less fun. Snag our five free tracks for #FreePlayFriday to pump up your weekend party playlists.

Shadow Child’s VIP mix of Daughter’s moody cover of “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk kicks off this week’s set of picks. Taking the haunting vocal take from Daughter, Shadow Child creates a nostalgic sense of longing with prolonged synth echoes layered upon subdued house kick drums.

Earlier this week, Hercules & Love Affair announced the May release of its third LP The Feast of The Broken Heart, and album cut “Be With You” is now available as a free download. Group mastermind Andy Butler is known for fusing seemingly disparate sonic elements to create cutting-edge indie dance steeped in nostalgia, and “Be With You” is no exception. Underscored with a sassy techno backbone, the track’s soulful vocals recall the best of 70s disco and 80s synthpop to create an irresistible groove.

Coldplay made headlines this month with the release of the band’s Jon Hopkins-produced single “Midnight,” and Swedish DJ/producer Marcus Schossow is offering his remix of the track as a free download. Schossow plays to his strengths with his ‘indie house’ remix by painting lush soundscapes accented with an airy euphoria. Chris Martin’s vocals are heavily vocodered to add an atmospheric, robotic touch.

French duo BeatauCue go a bit deeper than usual with “Evola.” The boys keep their playful production touch while switching things up by taking a quick break from dizzying bass drops for a sleek garage-inspired excursion. This one’s perfect for the incoming spring weather with its bouncy beat and sunny vibes.

American songstress Kelis is trading the electronic production of 2010’s Flesh Tone for a full band neo-soul approach for her upcoming album Food, but Breach’s remix of her single “Rumble” puts her right back in the dance game. The remix is a disco-tinged affair, with Kelis’ husky vocals complemented with snare drums and sizziling future house sytnhs. The track is available as a free download to anyone who identifies it using the Shazam app here.
