Fred Falke Brings Sunny Disco to NYC’s Cielo on November 15

By  |

New York’s rapid descent into its winter arctic oblivion is in full swing, but Fred Falke is bringing club goers back to the sunny beaches of summer on Saturday, November 15 with a performance at Cielo with his seminal brand of filter disco.

When it comes to French disco house, Falke ranks up there with Daft Punk in terms of artistry and influence over the genre. Over the years, Falke’s become the producer du juor for just about every act looking for a top-notch filter disco rework of their tracks. With a laundry list of every Who’s Who in pop—Katy Perry, Ke$ha, and Robyn—to the dance world—NERVO, Rebecca & Fiona, and even Tiësto—Falke’s crafted an impeccable repertoire of productions since his debut in 2000. His 2011 LP Part IV proved that he was just as capable of crafting an original body of work as he was reinterpreting others’.

It’s sure to be a funky night, with Falke’s glittering disco beats joined by New York’s own Solidisco and Alex English, each of whom will provide support on the Meatpacking District’s world-renowned sound system. Tickets are available here, and more information can be found at
