Duke Dumont @ Space Ibiza New York Opening – 9.13.2014

By  |

After three years of production rumors and delays, Space Ibiza officially opened its doors in New York City’s Hells Kitchen neighborhood this past Friday, September 12 with performances from Michael Mayer, Alexi Delano, and Vanjee B2B Nadav Vee. The Opening Fiesta poured into the following night, with a Blasé Boys Club label showcase featuring Camilo Franco, Pierre Toma, Jax Jones, and even head honcho himself, Duke Dumont.

DJ Times headed out to the club on Saturday, which saw Dumont throw down hit after hit alongside Jax Jones, including Dumont’s latest single “Won’t Look Back” and a bouncing house edit of Beyonce’s “Yoncé” interlude off of her 2013 album.

With a Funktion One soundsystem, dancers flown in directly from Ibiza, a rooftop terrace overlooking the West Side skyline, and a dancefloor packed to the brim with eager clubbers, Space Ibiza New York’s debut was a night to remember.
