Duck Sauce Unleash New Video, Announce Fall Album Release

By  |

There hasn’t been much quacking from Duck Sauce, the collaborative output of America’s Best DJ 2013 nominees A-Trak and Armand Van Helden, since the release of “Big Bad Wolf” back in 2011. However, the pair is back with a new single, video, and album announcement. Released today, “It’s You” is a funk-driven dance romp featuring high-pitched squeaks and soulful vocal samples.

Keeping with the tradition of quirky music videos from the duo, A-Trak and Armand Van Helden act as barbers in the hair-raising clip for the track featuring dancing hair, jerky eyes, and a glowing salon rave. A barbershop quartet featuring the duo and a pair of raving George Clinton lookalikes can also be seen throughout the 3-minute video directed by Philip Andelman.

In addition to the release of the video, Duck Sauce has announced the release of the debut album Quack. The album will be released this fall on Casablanca records, and promises to feature heavy sampling and scratching, as well as interwoven skits. The duo also plans to release “many more” videos in the near future from the album.
