America’s Best DJ nominees A-Trak and Armand Van Helden have a busy spring ahead of them, performing twice as Duck Sauce at Coachella 2014 and then releasing their debut LP Quack, which they’re previewing now via the free Duck Droppings EP.

The four-tracker delves into Duck Sauce’s vault and is a joyous compilation of the pair’s retro-soul takes on dance music. EP intro “Party in Me” masterfully sets the tone with huge vocals and vintage funk, while “Louie The First” channels the best of 70s roller disco with its euphoric strings and shimmy-inducing drums. The infectious guitar of “Calamari (Put The Sauce On)” stands out as the highlight with a groove that is simply undeniable.
