DMC DJ Battle Takes on NYC with DJ QBert

By  |

Since 1985, DMC DJ battles have provided the premier competitions for turntablists, and this Saturday, February 1, New York City’s Webster Hall will host the latest regional clash. Judged by DJ Slyce and DJ Spicktacular and hosted by Lord Finesse, this weekend’s battle promises to be extra special with a guest appearance from America’s Best DJ 2010 winner DJ QBert.

The DJ battle will take on DMC’s classic solo format beginning with an elimination round consisting of DJs performing a two-minute routine. The judges will then select the top six performers to compete in the final round, during which the finalists will perform an expanded six-minute routine. The overall winner decided by the judges will win a Rane 61 mixer and a spot at the 2014 DMC US Finals taking place in Los Angeles later this year.

Tickets for the DMC New York City Regional DJ Battle are on sale now here. To enter to compete or get more information, go to the event’s Facebook page and
