Amsterdam, The Netherlands – As always, Amsterdam Dance Event will bring the music industry to Holland this week – Oct. 18-22. But after the meetings and ADE seminar sessions conclude, the city will light up with five nights of parties and showcases that expect to go late into the night. Here are a few of DJ Times’ picks:


What:
House of Frankie & Soulstice Records ADE 2017
Where: The Tara
When: Wednesday, Oct. 18

Looking for an early-week party in an intimate setting that’s sure to help you get your groove on? Search no further, as this event will bring the soul, the vocals, the big-love vibe that Frankie Knuckles represented. With a deep lineup that includes NYC DJs Kenny Carpenter and Hector Romero, this party will put some hands in the air.

Boogie Angst & Wilde Agency ADE Takeover
Where: De Bajes
When: Wednesday, Oct. 18

In this unique art space/live environment venue, this ADE Takeover will feature a top slate of talent including the prolific German DJ/producer Purple Disco Machine and Dutch duo Kraak & Smaak. If you like deeply funky dancefloor vibes, this is the party for you.

What: Awakenings
Where: Gashouder
When: Wednesday, Oct. 18 thru Sunday, Oct. 22

This series of techno parties in the massive Gashouder venue—imagine a rave inside a gigantic oil refinery—brings an incredible lineup. It includes: Len Faki, Robert Hood, Jeff Mills and KiNK (Wed.); Adam Beyer, Monika Kruse and Pig & Dan (Thurs.); Joris Voorn, Sven Väth, Slam, Paul Kalkbrenner, DJ Pierre and Michel De Hey (Fri.); Danny Tenaglia & Nicole Moudaber, Joseph Capriati, Dubfire & Special Guest (Sat.); and Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann and Dax J (Sun.)

What: Monstercat Uncaged
Where: Melkweg nightclub
When: Thursday, Oct. 19

Vancouver’s Monstercat, one of our rapidly ascending labels, presents an all-over-the-map lineup that’s sure to send the legendary Leidseplein venue into a tizzy. Check it: NGHTMRE, Seven Lions, Pegboard Nerds and Dirtyphonics. Expect crunching beats, uplifting grooves and a big night out at the multi-room Melkweg.

Audio Obscura x Rijksmuseum present Underworld
Where: Rijksmuseum
When: Friday, Oct. 20

Underworld, one of electronic music’s greatest live acts, plays a unique one-off show, using the museum’s iconic Bicycle Passage as a spectacular backdrop. From “Pearl’s Girl” to “Born Slippy,” from “Cowgirl” to “Two Months Off” and more, Underworld’s Karl Hyde and Rick Smith have created some of the genre’s most enduring tracks. Expect something special.

MN2S Presents…
Where: Sugarfactory nightclub
When: Friday, Oct. 20

MN2S—the label, the agency—delivers a slate of legendary talent at one Leidseplein’s top venues – Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry and A Guy Called Gerald. What’s not to like?

Defected in the House
Where: AIR nightclub
When: Friday, Oct. 20

The Defected brand brings an evening of soulful and groovy house music with a terrific DJ lineup that’ll rock two rooms. The Defected room will present Sonny Fodera, Sam Divine, Low Steppa, Ninetoes, and DJ Licious, while the Classic Music Company room will present Honey Dijon, DJ Haus and Luke Solomon.

Detroit Love ADE
Where: Sugarfactory nightclub
When: Saturday, Oct. 21

This party, featuring some of the greatest techno talent the Motor City has ever produced, promises to be a memorable night of clubbing. Why? Carl Craig, Kenny Larkin, Kevin Saunderson, Moodymann and Stacey Pullen – say no more.
