Mysteryland, the world’s longest running electronic music festival, will debut in the United States on Memorial Day Weekend in 2014 in upstate New York’s Bethel Woods. The location is the original site of the 1969 Woodstock Festival, and Mysteryland marks the first time a multi-day music festival will be held on the grounds.
Speaking on securing the location of the event, ID&T CEO Duncan Sutterheim said, “This location, the site of the mother of all festivals Woodstock 45 years ago, needs no further introduction. We are honored that Bethel Woods has chosen to host Mysteryland.”
Mysteryland has been a festival staple in the Netherlands since its premiere in 1993, with 60,000 tickets to the 20th edition of the event, taking place tomorrow, selling out earlier this year. Organized by ID&T, the team behind Tomorrowland, TomorrowWorld, Q-Dance, and Sensation, the capacity for the US edition of Mysteryland will be capped at 20,000.
Detailed information on the lineup and ticketing is still to come, but fans interested in attending should register for tickets here. Tickets will go on sale in about two months, in order of registration date. For more information on Mysteryland, go to Mysteryland.com.
