Atlantic City, N.J. – Mark your calendars, folks, because DJ Expo is closer than you think.

Set for Aug. 12-15 at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, N.J., DJ Expo will present the DJ industry’s largest exhibit hall with major manufacturers and distributors aplenty, plus a series of sponsored evening events like Promo Only’s artist showcase at House of Blues and ADJ’s Pizzafest at The Taj with special guest DJ Kool—both are happening on Aug. 13. And, as always, DJ Expo is produced by DJ Times and Testa Communications.

Of course, Expo attendees also will have access to more than 25 seminars and workshops tackling all the most vital topics—gear, business, trends—for mobile, club or studio jocks. And this year’s DJ Expo will see a little more attention to the VJ/video world, as Boston-based jock Joshua Carl will helm a pair of sessions:

  • “I Am a Video DJ” will bring in some of the industry’s top talents, like Roonie G, and they’ll share their experiences on the current state of the video jock. Topics will include performance, selling video services to new venues, video in clubs and mobile events, and all the emerging technologies.
  • On “Remix the Video! An Introduction to Basic Video Editing,” Carl and company will demonstrate to attendees how to get started in making original video content for performances. Join the remixing elite of the video-DJ world at this Expo-only workshop and get a solid foundation in video.
